He is wearing a white lab coat which suggests that he is a professor or from a mental institute. There is a poster in the corner which says "loose talk is noose talk" which means he is going to hang himself. Therefore we make the assumption that he is from a mental institute trying to escape.

The background is simple which brings out the man in the shot and makes the camera focus on him. The lighting also has a big part in this shot as it is kind of dark which empahises the power he has over everyone and makes him seem like a kind of bad guy. The clothes he is wearing suggests that he is from an olden day era or is some kind of luietenant maybe. The font on the door in the background also suggests that it is shot in the olden days as it is a simple type of font.
